A couple of weeks ago I wrote about Bullitt wheels for your Mustang. I admitted then, and I’ll say it again… For my money there is simply nothing cooler than Steve McQueen or the Ford Mustang! Nothing!
It would appear that I am not the only person who feels this way… Apparently the folks over at Ford feel the same as evidenced by the release of the new 2008 Mustang Bullitt…
Ford has created the perfect sleeper by eliminating the badging, the spoiler, and doing away with the awkward looking fog lights by adding a unique black mesh grille with metallic surround. Add to this a Dark Highland Green paint job and black leather interior with engine turn aluminum trim and a rumbling exhaust tone that matches the movie car, topped off with a 4.6-liter V-8, with cold-air induction technology, and a modified chassis and suspension and what you get is the 2008 Mustang Bullitt! A Mustang which remains true to its heritage.

That’s one edition of the ‘Stang I wouldn’t mind owning. What kind of powerplant is it shipping with? The same on that’s in the GT?

It’s the same 4.6-liter, 3-valve V-8 with a CAI and sport – tuned suspension (shocks/springs/stabilizer bar). It should deliver around 315 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 325 pound-feet of torque at 4,250 rpm.
